I am a painter who focuses on natural forms. Trees, leaves, and plants
are what fascinate me, as well as how light affects both the forms, and
our perception of them. I frequently paint houses and other man-made shapes,
which live in the landscape, as we do.
Working in a standard landscape format, in close-up, or
in a somewhat abstracted format, I wish to bring the viewer into my way
of seeing these natural shapes.
From my garden in Greenwich, CT, I see water, trees, dozens
of species of birds, myriad kinds of plants, and all these in their seasonal
changes.
Through oil paintings on canvas, pastel, encaustic on panels,
and monotype printmaking, I try to convey to viewers my passion for the
natural world.
